A beautiful burgundy sweater adorns your back,

Enveloping you in warmth, snug and intact.

Knowing a piece of me holds you tight,

Bringing comfort, even in the distance's light. I would have never chosen that sweater for me,

Finding reasons to dislike, as you can see.

But as I gazed at it, nestled in its place,

I embraced its essence, its sentimental grace. Perhaps I feared sentiment, as adults we grow,

Each with our own style, our unique flow.

Yet, as I held that sweater close to my heart,

I felt the warmth of home, never to depart. You are there, and I am here, separated by space,

Yet the bond we share, no distance can erase.

As I gently packed the sweater once again,

Love, acceptance, and tears mingled, my friend. I wear the same sweater, embracing its hue,

Trusting that one day, our paths will align, it's true.

Underneath the starry night sky, side by side,

We'll both wear burgundy, a moment of pride. To you, my sister, with love that knows no end,

I cherish you, my forever and eternal friend.

From infinity to back, our connection remains,

A bond unbreakable, enduring all life's strains. Love you endlessly, dear sis, forever and more,

Our souls intertwined, a love to the core.
